Apache Tears is an Equestrian Unicorn whose a hidden menace known as the Cutie Mark Bandit, because she is infamous for stealing cutie marks for her own use. It is unknown to public ponies where she came from, but they know she came from a land in Equestria where blank flanks were still segregated and discriminated, and when she ended up getting a cutie mark she didn't understand, she was mocked for it, and after having put up with this for much of her adolescent life, she left and became a cutie mark bandit after believing this cutie mark was a cruel joke. Thus, she stole cutie marks and used them for her own, turning her a Cutie-Pox-like insane supervillain who as random talents that allow her to do anything. But she also obtained a magic pool that is the reported imprisonment of the first pony in history to get a fancy mark Fancy Free, which she plans to use to steal all cutie marks in Equestria and beyond, unaware that this can bring disastrous consequences to her control, and in turn, her mind, and turn her into a cutie-mark abomination that will need to be stopped. She is related to Lilymoon and Ambermoon, two ponies who appear in the MLP storybook Ponyville Mysteries: Riddle of the Rusty Horseshoe, the same book where Scootaloo's two aunts Holiday and Lofty show up.
