Since the CMCs have grown since they founded their new CMC camp to aid fillies who want cutie marks, and stopped Rumble from trying to convince them of independence and the 'limitations' of their cutie marks, they come across an old friend: Gabby, their griffin member who has just helped Gilda spread friendship across Griffonstone, and through that, has made a boyfriend named Grayson, who is a highly-skilled griffin who, stunningly enough, has the voice of Gabriel Brown (Black Gryph0n), and has heard a lot about the CMCs as well and wants to offer condolences and support through a talent show. However, there is a new threat on the horizon in the form of a Hipogriff named Cutie Marker, the current descendant of Beak-Buck, who has come to use the camp as a means to get slaves for him to manipulate with the use of his Cutie Mark Vault, and was attempting to stop Rumble from inspiring independence to make it happen before the CMC did it for him. Thus, with campers going missing, including Rumble's second and twin brother Ensemble, the CMC must find themselves getting the Mane Six and the Lodgers involved when Gabby and Grayson end up missing. Will they stop Cutie Marker before he turns the camps' students into cutie mark slaves, especially with the help of Cutie Marker's winged wolf pet slave Lupin, but most of all, would the Crusaders end up discovering an unforseen truth behind the Cutie Marker, espeically when Beak-Buck never reproduced with anyone nor did he get any siblings that reproduced to justify his existence, and to say that modern desendents do exist, they're unlikely to be beyond the Hippogriff Homelands, let alone trying to do what the Cutie Marker is up to, so the Crusaders can't help but to feel that something's screwy around here, and ultamately, would they handle the truth?
