Queen of Abyssinia
Queen Ethiopia, known canonly in the comics as the Queen of Abyssinia, is an Equestrian Abyssinian cat and the leader of the land of Abyssinia. In the MLP movie comics, her kingdom of Panthera is invaded and taken over by The Storm King for their wealth, which cripples the kingdom as it was a trade nation, especially being distraught the the Storm King takes a glowing green rock called the Misfortune Malachite, which has been said to bring bad luck to any who obtain it as it is tossed all over the world falling into the hands of Captain Celaeno and Storm King's traitorous former commander Strife, and then falling into the hands of Capper and Chummer, and finally Tempest Shadow, until the Storm King finds her and destroys the Malachite upon seeing how 'dangerous' it was as Tempest didn't believe in superstitions. Upon the Storm King's death, Abyssinia recovered. In Dragon Developments, it's revealed she knows that the legend of Saurusia, an underground prehistoric land where the magic watering hole that gave birth to the Abyssinians hailed from really exists, and is distraught that, because of the actions of Star Butterfly, magic has died and caused the multiverse to become imbalanced, directing them to a Managarmr named Snorri, a cave guardian who keeps Abyssinia and Saurusia apart since Ethiopia saved him as a child. In Return of The Storm King, it's revealed she was a good friend of Tempest's mother Aphelion Shadow.
