Spyro and his friends have some time off with his friends. When Pinkie Pie finds a chest filled with treasure, it turns out, Captain Blot and his crew, along with Serenia who was ressurected by Taiklar Blackheart's Sword of the Dead, want the treasure as well. After fighting for it, they make a deal that they compete for the treasure. Blot decides to take the group to a private location in Destiny Islands, which is nothing more than an abandoned pirate arena, and bring the rest of the Shell Lodgers with them, only to find that they've already arrived thanks to Merlin. But the arena is actually next to the home of it's old host, a parrot named P.T. Cracker. Blot forces Cracker to judge their competition, and also only wants Spyro's group alone compete with his crew, and not the rest of the Shell Lodgers. However, Fu-Xi's intimidation tactics, though scaring him into reconsidering, decides that only 6 other Shell Lodgers aide since having outnumbered competitors wouldn't be fair to the deal. So SpongeBob, Lord Shen, Shifu, Icky, Fu-Xi, and Po join in the competition, and both teams go through gladiator competitions which both Blot and Spyro are equals in. The compitition gets fierce and competitive. As the games went on however, the Shell Lodgers, The Mane 6, and Blot's Crew seem to get less fierce and competitive, and start to get to know eachother better. Though Spyro and Blot had not ONCE forgotten or forsaken the treasure. Spyro is too unsure if Blot has a redeemable side to him and Blot is basically an idiotic, self-centered, gold lusting jerk. But it ultimately comes down when it is discovered that the chest was not a prize worth finding, or winning for that matter, when it was really an infamous Equestrian Monster known as Woodjaw, a toothed chest full of molten gold who intends to feast on the soul of the victor, and only Spyro and Blot finally getting over grievances and personal flaws would ruin Woodjaw's lunch. But can it even be possible?
